To come along the side of children of God in their journey of knowing, becoming, and being found in Him (God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit)
JODI SMITH
I was raised in a Christian home and in the Church. My parents married very young and are still going strong at 60+ years! I’m their 4th child (out of 4). My journey has been mainly from a single perspective, as in, not married. I didn’t marry until I was 44 while my siblings and friends were all married and having kids, and their kids having kids, etc. I met my husband in church and fell in love with him on the first date, which was a miracle itself. He has 3 awesome children, now, my bonus children.
My husband and I regularly attend and are members of JFC (Jubilee Fellowship Church, jfc.org) in the metro Denver, CO area.
I have been a career woman most of my life in the corporate world, and climbed the proverbial ladder. Working 8-5, M-F (some evenings/weekends thrown in), living on boxed lunches, managing my own teams and bosses, dressing for success, etc., and loving it! However, mid-2014, that season came to a screeching halt. I was laid off. For the first time in my life, I didn’t have work to accomplish, nor did I necessarily need to for the immediate future. God moved me into this new season and it is changing my life.
So in just the past 2 years, I met an awesome Christian man, married him, changed my last name!, moved homes, gained (bonus) children, lost friends, gained a dog and a new car, left my career of 28 years , and opened my eyes to the new beginnings God has in store for me (please read “The Call” for more on the new beginnings).
I look forward to sharing my journey with you in the hopes that your journey will also be to grow in knowing, becoming, and being found in Him!
MY BELIEFS
ONE GOD – I believe in one God who exists and reveals Himself in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26, Matthew 28:19, Matthew 3:16-17, Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
JESUS CHRIST – I believe Jesus Christ was born of a virgin named Mary (fully man), lived a sinless life (fully God), died for our sins, was raised from the dead and is now at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. (Matthew 1:18-25, Romans 9:5, Hebrews 12:2)
THE HOLY SPIRIT – I believe at the point of salvation the Holy Spirit fills each believer to be a source of strength, assurance, and wisdom. (1 Corinthians 2:9-14, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Matthew 3:11, Acts 2:4, Acts 2:38-39)
THE BIBLE – I believe the entire Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God and should be the supreme and final authority in my life and faith. (2 Samuel 23:2, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Acts 1:16)
THE CHURCH – I believe the Church is comprised of all those who acknowledge and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The scripture instructs us (those who believe and accepted Jesus into their hearts) to identify and regularly assemble with other believers to devote ourselves to a deeper relationship with God. (Hebrews 10:24-25, Acts 2:42-47, Acts 16:5)
SALVATION – I believe all mankind was created in the image of God, but fell from relationship with God by voluntary disobedience. Only through accepting Jesus Christ’s substitutionary sacrifice of His shed blood for my sins, can I be forgiven and restored into fellowship with God. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:1, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 1:7)
WATER BAPTISM – I believe water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, in the authority of Jesus’ name, should be followed by all believers as a public profession of our faith in Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Acts 8:36-38)
GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – I believe the Holy Spirit has supernatural abilities to distribute to Christians for the instruction and empowering of every believer and when operated in balance and order will bring God glory. (1 Corinthians 12:1-12, 1 Corinthians 14:40, John 16:13-14)
LORD’S SUPPER – I believe the holy ordinance of Communion should be received by believers walking in fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ as a remembrance and celebration of what Christ accomplished for me on the cross. (Luke 22:19-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)
ETERNITY – I believe in the personal and imminent return of my Lord and the following bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, with everlasting joy for the saved and everlasting, conscious punishment of the lost. (Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, 2 Corinthians 5:10, Revelation 20:4-6, Revelation 20:11-15)

JIREH CONSULTING
Jireh Consulting, LLC was created in 2014 with the purpose of reminding myself that Jehovah Jireh is my provider. No longer receiving my handsome income from the corporate job, my need was re-enforced to know that He is my provider; always has been, whether I recognized it or not. The original plan was to offer my services as a business/marketing consultant in both personal and professional areas. However, God has not been interested the professional areas I was intending. So Jireh Consulting, LLC is me offering myself to you.
The initials “J C” for “Jesus Christ” are just a bonus!
